Not a North Auckland fan, but this - alongside the JK try against Italy and Michael Jones bursting through a gap against Aus in 1998 - is one of my enduring TV-watching rugby memories of the 1980s.
The second good horse our Own The Moment Syndicate has got the chance to race with Moa Creek (Central Otago) breeder Rusty Nevill. The Ultimate Sniper filly has understandably become a favourite with our 60-strong crew spread across NZ.
Clinic at Addington!
Matthew Williamson and Seeking Clarity were in a league of their own, putting the race to bed and leaving the rest chasing a memory in Race 7.

@GuerinSports@AndrewNJHawkins Lovely bloke to have a yarn with in the rustic, draughty "media room" at Oamaru Racecourse and oppositethe winning post. Unfailingly polite and happy to lend a hand for someone like me who was no natural with a camera.
@GuerinSports@oats_and@marshracing@GregORacingNZ I recall the standfirrst on the 12 Questions interview with you a decade or so where your preference for Michael seemed quite clear so I've stuck with Michael ever since. And occasionally MG.
@AidanRodley@HaydenMeikle I was at the Oamaru Mail when Allegro Agitato was winning Group 1s in Australia from the Williamson stable. Roni was unfailingly lovely to deal with.

Smokin' Romans' full sister Afire wins easily over 1400m at Wingatui this afternoon.
Two wins for the dam in the space of two hours? Probably not, but you never know...

Big weekend for Proposition Joe, with his full brother Franco Motu winning a Group 2 in Perth on Friday and Joe remaining unbeaten with his win over Indulge Me today.
Much respect for the people of Whanganui. Up here for my grandfather's funeral this morning. We had the funeral convoy from the funeral home to the crematorium, and so many cars heading in the opposite direction pulled over to the side of the road until our convoy passed.
