Everyone says “don’t take work home.”
So teachers grade after dinner, plan during weekends, and cry in their cars before walking in.
But sure, we’re leaving it at work.
Teachers are expected to stay calm while being cursed at, threatened, even hit.
Then judged when they burn out.
What other profession demands emotional labor, physical safety risks, and complete self-control—daily—and still gets blamed for not doing enough?
Nobody wants to work anymore.
But also nobody wants to be underpaid, micromanaged, ignored, gaslit, overworked, and expected to be grateful for it.
Funny how that part gets left out.
