In my latest Mathew on Monday for @libdemvoice...
๐ถ๏ธ Brighton was wonderful but I'm still left asking: What are the Liberal Democrats for?
๐ถ๏ธ Christine Jardine deserved better.
๐ถ๏ธ A heartfelt thank you.

The Tories love wrapping themselves in the flag, but there's nothing patriotic about scrapping the Climate Change Act, Natural England and the Environment Agency.
After this summer's wildfires, that's reckless. I'll fight it every step of the way.
Not gonna lie, have felt exhausted today.
I guess that's what happens when you have a 9am-11pm travel/meeting/media day to and from and in London yesterday.
The Tories and Reform can knock each other out for all I care. I'm not wasting any more energy arguing for unity. They'll find out the hard way. I couldn't care less about party politics. We're so f**ked.
Why vote for me? My background. I've lived the struggles of the city's poorest. Like comedian Adam Rowe says, some kids just grow up tough. I've been there. I believe no one in politics truly speaks for people like us. #Liverpool#Community#Representation
Five years today since we lost my former boss and lovely, great, loyal and fun friend James Brokenshire. I miss him all the time and his excellent, principled example inspires me every day. I was lucky to know him.

On the train home after a long but very fulfilling day.
An in person strategy day with the brilliant Just Treatment team and then this evening an appearance on Talk.
I'm grateful for these opportunities.
Where Lib Dems are in local administration with sensible, moderate Greens it's pure party politics by Labour etc to suggest they should withdraw from a coalition, due to the idiocy by some Greens at their Conference.
We really do need to be adults about this.
Fascinating to read that a Senedd member used a pair of smart glasses to read his speech - autocue style - in a chamber debate last week. Suspect itโll be something the Westminster authorities have to confront soon too.

Awkward slip from Tory deputy leader Alex Burghart on stage just now as he was introducing Professor Niall Ferguson for a defence chat.
Burghart; โI understand youโve just been to Russia.โ
Ferguson: โTo Kyiv. To Ukraine. Itโs still Ukraine, Iโm glad to report.โ
๐จ NEW: Alliance MLAs have walked out of the Assembly chamber during a vote of no confidence in Agriculture Minister Andrew Muir that was tabled by the DUP.
"Andrew Muir is the DAERA minister, and he is going nowhere," says Alliance leader Naomi Long.
