@CarpeTeachem I feel like people looking for fights love to go on platforms such as reddit. Others who suffer from the spiral of silence type symptoms I feel go to private messaging social media such as discord or messenger. Sometimes they will fight there too.
@CarpeTeachem I think a lot of our star studded faculty makea very big impact on the academic community, drawing outside scholars to academic conferences at UOP
One of the things that always amazes me is the power of Pacific's advertising. At the Muir Symposium that happens every other year, we allegedly get people that travel from Meaford Canada and New Zealand to attend this Pacific event. @CarpeTeachem#COMM31

@CarpeTeachem Yes, a very lively conversation happened during the Q&A regarding the validity of the sanctions, as well as Xi Jing Ping's changing viewpoint on Taiwan.
As a part of UOP's public relations to its faculty and students, an interdisciplinary talk will be held on 3/22 about Ukraine. Most likely, this talk will focus more on the Ethos and Logos for academic purposes.

An instance where the current agendas are displaying only certain types of information. Russia too has an agenda. Furthermore, how reliable can these instances of citizen journalism be heeded? @CarpeTeachem#Comm31
A few years ago Pacific held a summer fellowship, assembling a team of undergrads to recreat Stockton's lost Little Manilla. Interactive media has allowed societies to experience part of stocktons history that is no longer seen.

2022 Marks a return to Game Of Thrones. Having seen the show, I am excited to see how HBO takes the story in a "new?" direction. I suspect Game Of Thrones may return to being the most viewed show like in the charts we saw in class.

I had the oppurtunity to see Sum41 live in concert right before Covid. IT may be one of the last times I may be able to see them, seeing how music streaming services are killing live concerts. @CarpeTeachem#COMM31
@CarpeTeachem I definitely believe that print medium delivers the information to its true extent. A digital medium may omit things for the sake of entertainment. Furthermore, i find with the digital medium the ease of access enabled many pseudo academics to make un-educated claims.
A book dug up from a late UOP professor. Big eye catching title that speaks for itself. There has been an ongoing argument that White Supremacy is a purely social media phenomenon. But as demonstrated here, it may have started in print (1981) . @CarpeTeachem#comm31
@CarpeTeachem as far as I know, I see a few classic newspaper boxes still around campus. Aside from this, i believe most of the issues have been digitized, including the pacific magazine. It has also come to my attention that Pacific has stopped doing yearbooks since 2003, and Dugoni 2016
This snippet is taken from a PacificWeekly 1971 article about student protestors dumping salad condiments on the director's desk. Print media reminds us of prev. eras of sophisticated media grammar used to give insight to the emotion behind every story @CarpeTeachem#comm31
