Does anyone use Birdhouse for Teachers to support data, goal tracking, and communication for students with IEPs? I'd love to learn more. https://t.co/0XkeJvCnAw
@MissCablePE I do! It's only 20 something miles, but in Atlanta traffic takes me 50 minutes in the morning and 1hr 15 in the afternoon. PM if you want to discuss it! It's not horrible?
@mardieteach @mardieteach Great suggestions. I like how you are not just asking them about their learning experience but also how they are doing as people!
Georgia: 14th highest infection/7th lowest testing rate; less econ resilient & 1000s of low-wage workers already forced to risk their lives to make a living. Weakened healthcare w/closed rural hospitals, no Medicaid expansion & a doctor shortage. Reopen? Dangerously incompetent.
#TriviaNight w/ #MiddleSchool Ss was a hit! Ran it like the team trivia you would find in a restaurant and used breakout rooms in between questions so teams could discuss their answer w/o others overhearing. Then they private messaged in their answer. #PrincipalingInPlace
@NAEmmanuele I would sometimes do this for a portion of a sub plan, and the students always found it hilarious! (But, that means they were watching, right?)
Our Ss have a lot of interest in virtual game design & we would like to offer an elective, but it's hard to staff. Anyone know a good online program a teacher could proctor without an intricate knowledge of the skill? #studentdriven#colearners#edtech#computerscience#edchat
Today's #VirtualSpiritWeek theme is... Team Trivia Night! If you have any tips for hosting Zoom team trivia, feel free to send them my way! If you want to host your own, I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow! #middleschool#teamtrivia
So far: Writing thank you notes for essential workers, signs and chalk encouragement at our homes, waters and sanitizers left as treats for mail carriers and delivery workers, stocking Little Free Libraries with books and other necessities, simple mask patterns...
#VirtualSpiritWeek Day 2 is Thankful Tuesday! Using Padlet w/ Ss and Ts to share ideas for showing gratitude to the helpers around us. Have ideas to contribute to my school's idea board? Share them here! Or pursue the thread for your own gratitude practice!
