As a Mutoro from the Toro Kingdom, who grew up knowing how humble King Oyo is, it breaks my heart to share my thoughts with the BBCโs Focus On Africa on his sudden demise.
Itโs been a tough day! May his soul rest in peace.

Hereโs a story of progress worth sharing. Years ago, accessing Kumi and Pallisa was hard, very hard indeed. Even getting from Pallisa to Kaliro was no easy task, as the need for a solid, reliable bridge became more apparent with each passing day.
Recognising this, the government, through the Uganda National Roads Authority (@UNRA_UG), saw it wise to construct a high-quality road linking Pallisa to Kumi and a fine bridge connecting Pallisa to Kaliro.
Today, these projects stand as symbols of development, modernization, and steady progress. This is the story of transforming challenges into opportunities and creating a future where communities can stay connected and thrive because Government is aiming at STEADY PROGRESS..
