The thing about what’s “celebrated” is the fact that the gaming audience have said the changes are not profitable and goes to a more corporate and self-serving ego projection into games that does not match the changes, especially when it’s been in cases of gaming companies that existed for many years.
It’s not a celebration of a fall of a company they supported back then leading up to a fall down by the company’s own making.
Not really.
If anything it’s a very typical “we told you so and you didn’t listen” because they were too busy appeasing a very minor and ultimately non-profitable group of people.
The Branding has been used corporately, influenced by people that understand less what these games started out as and had to change to their specifications that really isn’t helpful to them anyways.
Business needs to flourish and to have made an audience already years ago and tries switching up without understanding what this could lead up to or what’s to gain from it is enough to question their decision making and callout further until there’s a reaching point of desperation to maintain the company.
And in this case for what’s BioWare, they made these decisions with utmost disregard of proper story making and gameplay value for a more self-insert ego projection into games and two, to appease workers than keep gaining that one audience you had and owed for making the company known for.
To claim the chuds are at fault here would mean they have far more influential power than dare admitting and maybe then would mean it’s best NOT to deviate from the formula, if you’re just going to risk everyone’s position and future marketing, since these games are products.
The naive mindset has caused more problems than it’s worth (more than one level) and it’s clear then there needs a proper approach than what’s been done.
It’s better to reflect on these things and try understand what to do better on.
We can go into discussions on what’s worth exploring but without any proper work put into it, we get the result of Andromeda and Veilguard. They even gave up on Anthem few months in, after release, which reflects their interest.
Company decisions done by staff that created a problem by being to greedy on social media influence and modern day activism unrelated to the universes they made is why the regression was presented painfully and costed far more than they had any knowledge or understanding of.
Nobody’s happy for this.
Anti woke chuds gonna be seal clapping the whole “go woke go broke” shit as more game companies shrink. Will they be jumping up and down when we no longer have games?
@BryceHitsBills@DocStrangelove2 No, this is saying there’s a clear inconsistency present, not only in the gameplay presented but also within the defences for this tact, since it’s not present in competitions.
During the Pickup mission in Cyberpunk 2077, who did you side with and who do you think is right choice to side with? Meridith Stout and Millitech or Royce and Maelstrom?
These choices were hard. Literally choosing between two worst kinds of evils
