Head of Community & Customer Ed @CircleApp ~ I help creators build thriving communities ~ Former creator @MakingJam ~ Ex-nomad ~ fighting Muay Thai by night
โNomadism is the freedom to shape your own life. Home is the mosaic of places, people, and connections that give it meaningโ

๐ป Reconnected with IRL community building
These are just a few highlights of a jam-packed year ๐

The ubiquity of AI-generated content might very well drive more people towards online communities rooted in connection & authenticity. And more creators will want to create such spaces.
The futility of detection moves the culture toward acceptance that much content may be AI-authored.
Many people detach by favoring real-time in-person interactions and smaller invitation-only online groups.
This leads to a new era of hyper-personalized echo chambers.
2024 was the most exhilarating year weโve ever had at Circle.
We shipped over 150 improvements โ including Circle 3.0, Marketing Hub, Developer Platform, and more.
To give everyone perspective, I made a short video to recap the year.
Look back (not just forward). Where you are right now is what the You of a year ago wanted... and what the You of 5 years ago didn't even think was possible! How cool is that? Don't let other people's faser PBs or your next shiny goal cloud all the progress you made :)
2024 is the year I turned my relatively recent running habit into a bunch of cool PBs:
- Sub 24min 5k (23:57)
- Sub 50min 10k (49:40)
A quick thread on what I learned in the process of combining running with other sports (lifting & Muay Thai) this past year ๐
Be patient. I feel like running improvements happen wayyy slower than strength/lifting ones. Give yourself time to see the impact of your hard work. I'm talking months and months. Not weeks. It's humbling, I know ๐
Still buzzing from meeting some of my favorite community people IRL in London last week! Folks who build on Circle are truly the most passionate & creative bunch ๐๐๐
On the program:
- A cozy venue in East London
- An inspiring lightning talk to kick off the evening
- Drinks & nibbles to fuel great conversation
If you're a Circle customer based in London and would like an invite, DM me. We can fit a few more of you :)
It's been years I haven't organized a meetup *in-person*. I couldn't hope for a better way to get back into it than gathering the people behind Circle's most established communities.
It's happening in London in a couple of days - and I can't wait!
Have you ever wondered how your favorite creators operate behind the scenes? How they turned an idea into a scalable business?
Join us at our upcoming Future of Creators Summit to find out how! It's on October 15 & 16 and it's FREE!
