Ok, so in 2010 the Supreme Court gave corporations unlimited right to spend on campaigns. Money is speech. GOP celebrates. Now DeSantis is upset because Disney strikes back. #CitizensUnited giveth and taketh away. @coalitionbuildr @VP@AprilDRyan@SymoneDSanders@finneyk
@REPOSTLOUNGEHP2 From the 1870s to the 1940s virtually all Black voters sided with GOP. Things changed when Dems opened southern primaries, hired Black workers for federal jobs, integrated the military, desegregated some colleges. The balance of power will shift again when GOP has courage to act
@amelia_tweetz Not one moment. Shameless plea for Ratzenberger to find 11000 additional votes, NY sexual assault conviction, the fake business records conviction, the missing WH documents, Fulton Co GA vote records confiscated, pardoned Jan 6 instigators…historians and comedians have plenty
@mjfree The public remains nearly split on trusting Republicans vs. Democrats regarding the economy and inflation, while Democrats generally hold an advantage in trust on healthcare, education, and cost-of-living issues.
@AdamtrendHQ The praise and blame are both fueled by racial tension. When the Soeaker of the House promises the duly elected President will accomplish nothing, the system is undermined and compromised. Obama brilliance produced the Affordable Care Act but could not overcome racial animus.
@reesetheone1 I don’t know about influence but you would see less health care, fewer good jobs, more Sweetheart defense contracts, fewer schools and more guns.
@reesetheone1 Truth…elections are won by those who show up, build principled coalitions and candidates who ethically and conscientously work the system to improve the lives of citizens
