Through my #ci5307 class, I was able to learn about how great Twitter is for teachers and learning new things! This is a great resource to get connected with teachers, discuss our struggles in the classroom, share our new findings and resources, and have our voices be heard!
@KahnAlea Hey Alea! I think this is a great idea for the classroom! Do you have any particular strategies that you would use to get to know your students and find their strengths? It is important we get to know them first before we can connect class content!
Using technology is a big part of personalized learning. Students are now using different technology (voice overs, PowerPoint, laptops, iPads, smart boards, etc.) to help them learn in new and better ways. #ci5307

What is personalized learning? I think personalized learning is providing all students with an opportunity to succeed academically using resources and support that is unique to their personal needs, assisting them in reaching their full potential. #ci5307
Here is another example of how to use personalized learning. This link shares about allowing students to work at their own pace, creating a unique learning path for all students, and discovering an understand for each students needs. #ci5307 https://t.co/G0ODaNCxSY
@tyLanasaurusrex Good morning all! A5: When I enter the job market, I will look for a school district that has a department of encouraging staff, an environment based on respect and kindness, and an openminded view so that I know they are willing to make change for the better #PSTPLN#ci5307
@tyLanasaurusrex Good morning! A4: My favorite online teaching resource is definitely GoNoodle! GoNoodle is the perfect resource to get kids up and moving. I love finding technology that is interactive like this because its exciting and engaging for both the students and teachers! #PSTPLN#ci5307
@tyLanasaurusrex Hi hi it's Mara. A3: Problem solving greatly helps with social and emotional development, and leads to positive behavior management skills. Students can use technology to practice problem solving and collaborating, or to keep track of behavior progress! #PSTPLN#ci5307
@tyLanasaurusrex Hi I'm Mara M! A2: As a future sped teacher, I personally like to use Facebook to expand my PLN because there are many parents who use FB as a place to advocate for their children and inform the public on issues in the sped field. I also love in person conferences #PSTPLN#ci5307
@MrLostetter @tyLanasaurusrex Hey David! My absolute favorite part about your post is your idea about the importance of advocating for each individual student. Each child is unique and has needs that should always be acknowledged and acted upon so that they receive the best education that they can. #PSTPLNBC
@tyLanasaurusrex Hello! I am Mara Mathison. I am a sophomore, studying sped, and a huge dog lover. A1: Remember everyone learns differently, so be sure to be patient and teach in all different ways. Learn each individual student's strengths and weaknesses, & always accommodate! #PSTPLN#ci5307
