Thank you Jenny! A brilliant first session at the start of a year-long programme. Lots of amazing ideas to use immediately in classrooms. See you in January! @Jennyfield6@SYMathsHub @tykesta @edu_greenwich@ILD_Greenwich
@tousledmop @MathsMrCox Actions that have made the biggest difference have been upskilling teacher subject knowledge and confidence. Lots of support 1-1 for teachers in terms of planning sequences of work and ensuring ceilings aren’t placed on what previously lower attainers can achieve. 👍🏼😊
@tousledmop @MathsMrCox Lots of good books out there. Craig Barton’s are excellent and will transform your thinking. Also take a look at Gareth Metcalfe’s materials @gareth_metcalfe
@tousledmop @MathsMrCox Hello. Welcome to the wonderful world of maths! As a new subject leader my best piece of advice would be not to try to do too much at once. Create a sensible plan that all your staff will buy into and work towards it. I’d recommend you contact your local maths hub too.
@Gazzatuck That’s great news. Glad to have helped. I’ve found Y6s that have some of this understanding missing too. Download the pdf file from here: https://t.co/OQVBEg8xTF. You should be able to print it or zoom in on it better then. 👍🏼
