The Nigerian feminist cycle is predictable if you pay attention.
Between the ages of 18 and 25, many young women openly pursue men far older than them. The attraction is rarely about emotional connection. It is about access, money, comfort, trips, and an extravagant lifestyle. Men their age are often ignored, mocked, or dismissed as unserious and incapable. At this stage, there is no ideology, no feminism, no outrage. Everyone understands the arrangement and enjoys it while it lasts.
Between the ages of 27 and 30, extending into the early 30s, the dynamics begin to change. Younger women enter the scene and naturally attract the same older men. At this point, many women begin hoping that men of their own age will choose them. When that does not happen easily, frustration sets in. Men are now questioned and attacked for preferring younger women, even though these same men were ignored when they themselves were younger. What was once framed as personal preference suddenly becomes framed as male wickedness.
From the mid-30s upward, the shift becomes ideological. Personal disappointment is repackaged as political awareness. Feminism enters the conversation, not as a fight for systems, laws, or protection, but as a moral weapon. Younger women are now warned to avoid men, relationships, marriage, and cooperation.
Men are painted as inherently dangerous or useless. Not because men have suddenly changed, but because younger women are now enjoying the same freedom and attention they once enjoyed.
What could not be secured long term is now condemned morally. What was once participated in freely is now reframed as oppression. This version of feminism is not about justice or reform. It is about managing resentment and rewriting personal outcomes as collective ideology.
Observing a pattern is not hatred.
Refusing to question it is dishonesty.
Dear Employers,
If your entry-level role requires 3 years of experience, it is not entry-level.
If your internship requires experience, it is not an internship.
If your graduate trainee role requires experience, then what exactly is the purpose of the program?
Every professional was once a beginner.
Someone took a chance on you.
Be that person for someone else.
This is a good one from Bae U.
I felt sad when I read someone post that they should start kidnapping the rich’s children instead because they’re the cause of Nigeria’s problems.
So you mean their parents being rich should make them unsafe? Or why are some of you so mean?
The cabin crew said they could see how our flight was moving in the air through satellite tracking
I said, “Can I get the video?”
Everybody laughed 😂😭
Meanwhile, I’m serious. I need to watch the replay and confirm that the plane was actually doing all the things I felt it was doing up there
There is something women do that I find funny.
When I am quiet or stare into nothingness, you ask what is on my mind. Madam, there is nothing on my mind.
I'm a quiet person and I easily drift into quietness. Do women understand it is okay to just want to be quiet in your own space? Everything is not an opportunity to gist for gist sake.
They never like my answer. They want gist. There is no gist and there is nothing only mind. Frankly, I actually do not like that question
If a man is expected to have money, a good job, a great house, a car before entering a relationship, while also being caring and attentive, then what should a woman have before entering a relationship??
