@janggwaberry Meta has social media related positions, e.g. https://t.co/bKBJg5OL1Q lmk if would like referrals. (same goes for anyone else impacted - engineers, managers, socials, etc.)
For those impacted by Blizzard layoffs, Meta has 49 open positions related to games or as game engineers/designers/etc. Most is VR/AR related, but the pay and benefits are stellar. Happy to do referrals. Sorry to see people hurting.

@ShyamOW@SrslyPaladin@PlayOverwatch@chesscom In context of large amounts of data, not bad and not expensive - but if you can save 5-10k/yr for a feature users don't require, y'know...
@ShyamOW@SrslyPaladin@PlayOverwatch@chesscom Simplest implementation with pretty hefty estimates for player encounters would yield 0.5MB upper end of data storage per player across the lifetime of the account to store this. Assuming meh implementation, 0.9MB. *50M users = 43 TB lifetime storage for entire playerbase

@claymorespears @ThatAFKNoob Also of note, when there are multiple changes at once, like Illari not being enabled, but still on the new patch, and maybe having flashpoint? That's like if the NBA said to use a ball that doesn't exist yet, new flat shoes that don't exist yet, and an entirely different ruleset.
@claymorespears @ThatAFKNoob Also keep in mind, those are sports leagues where it's a full time job. Contenders players don't have the luxury of nonstop practice, and don't have any warning given. So it's more like a basketball swap days before the tournament while half the players are away visiting family.
