Continuing our architecture unit, we learnt how to draw our local mosque using two-point perspective. It was a challenge using our maths knowledge of parallel and perpendicular lines but we are so proud of how they turned out.
As part of our learning on architecture, we compared the work of Giles Gilbert Scott and Gaudi. We used AI image generators to see what @LivCathedral would look like in a Gaudi style.
As part of our learning about Global Trade, we explored where our food comes from by using the Tesco website. We challenged ourself to find items that are manufactured or grown across the whole world. @mattarnprimary
On Monday, Year 5 and 6 were lucky enough to have a visit from @kooth_plc who shared with us key messages about mental health and staying safe online. They also shared their app with us which we can use for advice and support. @mattarnprimary
Last week, Rhiann from @merseysideya came in to teach us how to be resilience champions. We had a wonderful day completing our ROCKET training and we developed many skills and strategies which we have used since. @mattarnprimary
We were delighted our parents could join us for our art lesson last week. This term we are looking at architecture and Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, the man who designed our wonderful Cathedral. @mattarnprimary
As part of our science learning on the circulatory system, we made our own blood smoothies representing the different blood components-delicious!

Thank you for joining us at the first class assembly of the year. Together we marked International Day of Peace by sharing stories, poems and songs about how to make our world a more harmonious one. π
Well done Year 6! @mattarnprimary
Thank you for all the gifts and warmth you have given me today, not only in Year 6 but across the school. I will miss MA terribly! Have a great Easter and enjoy the time with the kids and your families. Thanks again, Mr. L
Happy World Book Day! We have had such a lovely day in school today, wearing our pajamas, drinking hot chocolate and listening to some of our favourite stories in the library! π
