An independent US 3rd Strike only event played on cab in the middle of Texas that's going to hit their 175 person player cap soon is a pretty crazy story parallel to the doom and gloom of recent FGC topics. Sometimes you just gotta make shit happen yourself. Check out 3SO!

I hope she dive kicks the gunman, picks up a killer croc with one hand, flies high in the air, and punches it so hard it smashes into a Denny’s across the street while saying “You don’ have to get snappy with me, Sugah”

Peter Cullen’s family has confirmed that the legendary voice of Optimus Prime passed away peacefully.
“His family asks that you honor his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty and always remember, ‘be strong enough to be gentle.’” 💔🕊️
I was given my name by the Iroquois Nation many hundreds of years ago. By 1660 my name was printed on maps by the Europeans as they accepted the Native name which means Beautiful waters.
In 1867 the Canadian government decided to use my name for their providence.
@MLozada I have all, and while I haven’t played Tokon since the beta, I’m just a stick player at heart.
I didn’t grow up with it. I went from pad to leverless, played leverless for a couple years before trying stick and fell in love. It’s a lot more fun, intuitive, and rewarding to me.

I have compiled some 3rd Strike information that some of you might find useful.
For each character, I have tested at what time you should UOH/leap attack in order to obtain maximum frame advantage *relative to the visual start of the character's wake-up animation*.
Most people know that the wake-up timing of each character is different, but crucially, the animations are also all different and of different durations. For example, most characters have pretty brief "slow rise" animations, so you often need to execute the UOH *before* you see the start of the animation. An exception is the shotos, who have longer slow-rise animations, and in their case, you can basically do the UOH on reaction a small beat after they start moving.
The way I have described this is fairly subjective, and not everyone is going to find this useful, but I recognize some patterns (such as the one I listed above), and being a little more intellectually aware of the animations can give you more confidence to execute UOH combos in the heat of battle.
Glossary of terms:
Beat - a delay that is short but easily perceptible by a high level fighting game player
Solid beat - a "beat" that is on the longer side haha
Small beat - a beat that is on the shorter side. Still perceptible, but quite brief
"a couple of frames" or "a few frames" - this is barely perceptible, and certainly in the heat of an intense fight, this is very hard to perceive. I mean literally like 1-3 frames. But these descriptions are important warnings because some attacks must be executed "a few frames after" the animation starts, and that means that if you pressed UOH *exactly* as the animation starts or maybe one frame early, your UOH WILL whiff, and you might leak super/shoryu etc. (It's much easier to leak super on whiff than on block.) Although it's very hard to perceive (partly due to some wake-up animations having very subtle start-ups), the sensitive player, with experience, can perceive this (especially while watching the opponent's wake up animation) and abort the combo attempt if those "few frames" weren't properly accounted for.
I have explored every character at least twice, and when I did the re-tests, I only changed a few descriptions. All the rest were confirmed. So, it should be fairly accurate, but, again, this is not super scientific, and there's subjectivity to it as well. Still, I thought some people might benefit from the list or, at the very least, a greater awareness of this concept as something to keep in mind.
Please feel free to test them yourself (it doesn't that long, with proper use of save state), and I welcome any corrections or confirmations of this analysis.
