Some lessons learned:
1. Get good advisors who align with your worldview
2. Scaling always results in dropped-ball moments. Be prepared to take action to rectify.
3. Conferences aren’t as helpful for client acquisition as people make them out to be. Spent > $100k on travel/conferences/events this year and have only gotten about $30k in closed deals from it.
4. Partnerships and distribution network + customer referrals go further in creating net-new closed deals than any other method.
