Love seeing our students and teachers leading through service. Honoring their service is a pleasure each month! Thanks to Tim Bruss with State Farm for sponsoring the Sumner Hill Servant Leader Awards. Go Arrows! @ClintonSchools
American culture, which pits self-fulfillment against self-sacrifice, [will] produce revenge or withdrawal as a response to any mistreatment.... In such a culture, forgiveness is seen as self-hating, and revenge and anger are considered authentic.

Things won’t always go your way. Resist the urge to complain, to get bitter, to lose hope, to go negative. Those never lead to better outcomes.
Choose gratitude, own your perspective, maintain hope, positivity, belief.
Your response is always your choice. Level up your mindset.

Want to build influence? Serve people.
Want to build trust? Serve people.
Want to build commitment? Serve people.
Want to make an impact? Serve people.
Humility is the way.
All education work is service, from master schedule, to professional development, to collaboration, to lesson planning, to direct instruction, to remediation, to check ins, to parent engagement. All for the benefit of others. If this is the mindset then every action has meaning.
Some of the best professional learning takes place when you’re hanging out with the teacher down the hall.
Workshops and conferences are nice… but they will never replace meaningful collaboration within the school.
Sumner Hill recognized October Servant Leaders! These students exemplify selflessness on campus! Thanks to Tim Bruss for his partnership in this recognition! @ClintonSchools#goarrows
