Maybe I'm naive but I just think the fact that the Doctor is (possibly) the only character on TV who can now be played by literally anyone (of any race/gender) is a beautiful thing that should be celebrated.
Ncuti Gatwa is the first openly queer Black actor to take on the role of the core Doctor.
“I feel like anyone that has a problem with someone who’s not a straight white man playing this character, you’re not really, truly a fan of the show," he says. https://t.co/mnAvzazvaU
Brianna Ghey was just a 16 year old girl living her life as she daw fit and not harming anyone. She was brutally killed by two 15 year olds, a female and a male. They knew her. They killed her because she was transgender. Where was the cold rage for her murder? Why no riots???
The Series 4 intro for DOCTOR WHO (2008) hits like a freight train. Murray Gold takes the classic theme and cranks the scale to absurd levels, while the TARDIS barrels through the vortex at full speed. Pure adrenaline every single episode.
really sad about anthony head!! always really loved this story where he invited a fan of his to his farm for the day when he heard they were having a hard time after coming out as trans
i met anthony head at a convention when i was 12 years old, only a week after my grandfather died. i'll always remember what he said to me—that the only thing stronger than the pain of losing someone is the memory of the joy and beauty they brought when they were around.
whether it was in buffy, doctor who or merlin, anthony head was one of those actors who has been a constant fixture on my tv screen for as long as i can remember. i’m so sad to hear he’s passed away 💔
@MMStudios512 It is an inherently silly show at it's core and has always had that element since it started in 1963. RTD2 was a mess but let's not pretend Doctor Who wasn't goofy before it.
@WiFiandChill_@MMStudios512 It did for the most part. There's goofy moments in pretty much every Doctor Who story so idk what you expect from this show.
