Requiring professional staff in a CPA firm to work a specific number of billable hours is absolutely stupid.

People who run CPA firms need to stop working their employees to death.

@going_concern The lack of integrity in the leadership of our profession is not surprising, from forcing staff to eat time, to outsourcing most of the audit work, resulting in reduced audit quality. Maybe auditing itself should be nationalized, the private sector does not value its obligations.

If I were in university now I would avoid the profession. Mostly due to the lack of character of the professions leaders behavior

@MikeSyl36625988 Every firm I worked for there was tonnes of pressure to eat time. I worked at 2 of the 4 big 4 a canadian national firm and a 10 person firm. I felt eating time is a diminishment of our professions. Lawyers bill whats worked but accountants are too spineless to the clients.
