The NFL quickly collected a fine for the dunk celebration, then used those same images for promotion.
The Offensive Player of the Year was turned into a comedy segment with Druski, minimizing an award earned through elite performance and hard work.
NFL Honors never acknowledged the poor representation of one of the league’s top individual awards.
The “prestigious” ceremony didn’t even air the pre-recorded acceptance speech.
After months to prepare and ship the award, the only offensive player selected received a Defensive Player of the Year trophy.
At some point, professionalism, respect, and attention to detail should matter.
The amount of water carrying from national media that’s going on for the Ravens is astounding. Got cold feet and wanted to keep their picks. Slime ball move after a handshake deal. Just call it what it is.
A few reminders for Trump folks ahead of the Super Bowl halftime show:
1. Puerto Rico is part of the United States.
2. Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens.
3. Bad Bunny is an American citizen.
4. Several previous halftime shows were headlined by non-Americans (Paul McCartney, Rolling Stones, U2, etc)
So, stop whining and just enjoy the show.
The United States is one of the few world governments that does not directly fund it’s Olympic team. It is fully funded by corporate sponsorships and private donations.
Which means our athletes don’t represent the American government.
They represent the American people.
Texas Tech barely broke 200 total yards against Oregon today. 23-0.
JMU had 228 total yards in the 1st half (509 total) AT Oregon. 51-34.
Yet a nationwide smear campaign against JMU and the entire G5 ensued the following week.
Someone has to explain to me how this works:
1. “Jared Goff requires a perfect offensive line in order to function”
2. Goff is about to finish off the best season of his career while also being sacked more than any other time in 10 years
Ohio State led Oregon 34-0 in the 2nd quarter last year but everyone chalked it up as ‘elite play’ from Ohio State. And that’s just one of many examples.
The goal post shifting because it’s a “G5” team is wild.
TCU lost by 58.
Florida State lost by 39.
Michigan State lost by 38.
Oklahoma lost by 35.
Ohio State lost by 31.
Alabama lost by 28.
SMU lost by 28.
Ohio State lost by 28.
Notre Dame lost by 27.
Tennessee lost by 25.
This is common for the CFP.
Stop complaining about Tulane.
This is so disingenuous man. I’d be shocked if every player on JMU wouldn’t rather get beat 100-0 than play in a lesser playoff
If you don’t want the G5 in then fine. But don’t pretend like you’re doing it for their benefit. That’s so shitty
They are competing at the appropriate level.
JMU was competing for FCS national titles and decided to move to FBS and now, in the second year of being bowl eligible, is competing for national titles
This rhetoric is a disservice to the sport of college football. The G5 is part of the FBS.
