I don’t know how Tuchel can honestly look at Saka, Eze or Madueke over the last few months and think that any of them are going to have more of an impact this summer than Gibbs-White or Bowen would have.
Baffling.
4 years ago Argentina were playing like this in the 104th minute of a World Cup final when the score was tied, now tell me that cowardly football isn’t killing this sport
🚨🎙️ Gary Neville on the officiating in the Champions League final:
“Arsenal fans have come pouring out on social media again, screaming that the referee was against them – the first-half whistle blown just as Saka was about to take that corner, the extra-time decision on Madueke, the whole lot. It’s the same old story with this lot – siege mentality, conspiracy theories, the lot.
But let’s be honest: the referee did a good job tonight. That first-half whistle? Arsenal had been wasting time all half with their deep block and slow build-up – he was spot on to blow it when Saka was taking forever. And the big one in extra time? Madueke went down too easily under minimal contact from Mendes. No clear foul, nothing clear and obvious. VAR and the ref got the big calls right.
Arsenal led early through Havertz but couldn’t finish the job and lost on penalties. So learn the laws of the game and stop being so entitled. Suck it up, move on, and stop blaming the officials every single time you don’t win. You’ve got to take responsibility for your own performance instead of this constant moaning. That’s football – sometimes you just lose.”
Vitinha completed 141 passes tonight.
Neves completed 77.
Ruiz completed 68.
Declan Rice completed 31.
Lewis-Skelly completed 12.
Odegaard completed 6.
One team came to play football. One came to spoil the game.
Arsenal have set the record for the lowest possession percentage for a team playing in a Champions League final (since records began in 2003-04).
The previous lowest record was also Arsenal, set in the 2006 Champions League final, which they played 72 minutes with 10 men.
🚨🎙️ Jamie Carragher on the Madueke incident (PSG 1-1 Arsenal, UCL Final extra time):
“That challenge on Madueke… come on, it’s in no way a foul! The lad’s gone in, he’s gone for the ball, bit of contact, that’s football!
But what the camera clearly shows is Madueke pulling his arm — he’s wrapped his arm around Nuno Mendes, pulling him down, trying to con the referee and VAR!
He’s dragging him with him! He should be getting a yellow card for simulation, not rolling around like he’s been fouled.
And this is the problem — Arsenal have been doing this all season! Madueke’s been at it, they’ve been pushing the boundaries with these theatrics, trying to buy penalties left, right and centre. That’s taking the game away from the honest defenders. No way that’s a penalty, no way. Ref and VAR got that absolutely spot on!”
Imagine scoring 16 goals, captaining your side to a premier league safety and European semi final, being nominated for player of the season and still being left out of a squad containing Jordan Fucking Henderson. #nffc
Make him club captain. Give him a payrise. Let him know what he means to us in Sunday. The one player that is genuinely irreplaceable. Anderson is world class. Murillo is superb. Neither of them will carry us like this man has. #nffc
Morgan Gibbs-White has scored TEN goals and produced three assists since Noni Madueke last registered a Premier League goal contribution of any sort.
#NFFC
Forget about Phil Foden and Cole Palmer.. they’ve been miles off it.. Morgan Gibbs White not being picked is a travesty.
No other English player in the Premier League has scored more goals
He’s one of two English players nominated for PL players of the season.
That decision flies in the face of meritocracy.
He’s worked so hard to reach this level, he’s carried Forest on his back to premier league survival.
A sad day for one of the nicest, most hard-working players you’ll see in the game.
Normally I'd give credit to a ref for overruling VAR and backing themselves, but that's just an obvious handball. Even the United players barely celebrated the goal. #nffc

Cost of sacking Liam Rosenior: £24m
Cost of buying Sheffield Wednesday: £20m
When sacking a manager costs more than a club in the Championship, it's probably time to start addressing those financial oblivion questions in football.
Forest could make it £30.00 a ticket for Midtjylland. Refund/ Give ticket credit for those who have brought one already. Sell the place out. And it wouldn’t put the club massively out of pocket. They could. But they won’t.
