A man of God pursuing the fullness of Christ in me. Husband and father. Reader, thinker, and strategist. Leading my family is my honor, Cybersecurity my trade.
I’d say it’s a business update, but really this is my mission. From out of the ashes of Silicon Valley, to forging for you the best shield I can.

My daughters played in a recital last night. The two oldest played a duet of American Pie on violin and acoustic guitar, and my youngest played one of her own compositions on piano.
They were among the best of the night.
But…it’s going to get better. Next recital we are doing an all-family Newsboys tribute of Cornelius.
Practice has begun.
What would have made more sense (morally and true to origin) with AI, would have been to make it a new form of the common operating system, empowered with an ecosystem of professionally and ethically made agents that can be trained by the user into precision, and also customized for individual context.
No personification. No identity theft. No goal to automate everything. No companions. Just the compute power of transforming and analyzing digitized things via micro/portable ML models.
I can see tremendous value in that. But that’s not what happened. They made it about Transhumanism. They made it about creating a super intelligence that will rule over humanity. That’s the path we’re on.
Same happened with cloud computing. Efficiency, speed, scalability - and lower costs - these were the original selling points. In fact, software developers were given cloud admin consoles and APIs and were told they were responsible for the network management, asset management, and security too. Identity taken and dispersed to those to whom it did not belong.
Interesting parallels.
Today, cloud is more expensive and operationally more complex (unnecessarily so). We are actually undoing cloud and overlaying the pre-cloud principles to solve the mess we created with cloud. Yet it still dominates.
Credential: I was the Sr. Manager and Principle Researcher for cloud security posture management at a leading Cyber Security company. (Sorry…I but that’s why I can speak confidently about this).
Can’t wait for my book to be published…considering the origin, the intention, the deception, and the trajectory…this Revolution should be resoundly rejected by Americans, starting with the church and conservatives.
Tentative publication date (if all goes smoothly) is early August. But you can start reading today at https://t.co/vYYLjKBA34
Why listen to me? I am a Christian man, raised Conservative, who studied theology before serving for 25 years at the peak of Big Tech on the leading edge of the data science world that produced AI.
I’ve had a front row seat on the inside. I’ve been paying attention, and examining this entire endeavor through the lens of truth, Christ, and tradition, and one inside the technical roots of AI in government and commercial contexts.
I pray I can help you see as I do. I hope we can avoid the pain ahead. We don’t need to do this.
@felicia_formats@PractiveSec Hello there. Thank you very much for the offer. Unfortunately, I don’t have resources to pay for editing services at this time.
Manuscript submitted for content and editorial reviews.
Working title: Countering the AI Revolution, preserving the arc of humanity to seed a better future.
But you don’t have to wait - most of what I covered in the book is available via @PractiveSec or on our Substack as individual articles and papers.
Lots of re-working, editing, blending, and some changes went into the manuscript, but if you want early access to the ideas or to follow along as I continue beyond the book, sign up today.
The AI story keeps changing. The essence of the book will sustain, but there will always be more to add.
The water, electricity, and data center are the things you are allowed to be upset about, to keep your attention from the really bad things.
Think about it. They declared the allowable complaint before anyone was complaining about it.
@secureainow@americans4ri@egastfriend But I don’t get scared when AI finds flaws in our code, because I actually know what that means.

Can we just do the Elijah on Mount Carmel challenge with the priests of the digital god now? Please?
Like seriously. Make fire fall from heaven or shut up already.
