I will never understand why Brad Stevens and Bill Chisholm thought trading Jaylen Brown to a division rival was a good idea. They may have given one of our biggest competitors the missing piece they need to contend for a championship.

That alone is hard to justify….

The only scenario where I could have talked myself into this kind of move is if the return was so overwhelming that it couldn’t be ignored. BUT THAT DIDNT HAPPEN. They essentially traded Jaylen Brown to a rival for what felt like a clearance price, and that’s the part that completely baffles me.

If the front office truly believed it was time to break up the Jays, I can respect the logic behind making a difficult decision.
But how they did it, who they did it with, and what they got in return is what makes this so frustrating.
