The attack on Filipino nurses on Friday night on their way to provide emergency cover at a hospital was absolutely disgusting and disgraceful.

As a public service union, we’re proud of our migrant health, NHS and care staff and we will be supporting them however we can.

Last year 160 scottish ambulance workers were attacked - the real number likely higher.

Crews don't have time to report due to underresourcing. We just have to get to the next job. It's tough enough without working in fear.
