Right now, open interest is migrating from July to September. By crushing prices to $55 today, the bullion banks achieve three massive goals for the upcoming cycle:

1️⃣ Cheap Long Positions: They wash out retail traders now so they can accumulation-buy the absolute bottom of the September contract at a massive discount.
2️⃣ Crush Call Options: They destroy the premium on any remaining bullish options before the September expiry cycle locks in.
3️⃣Secure Industrial Supply: It allows their mega-corporate clients to lock in cheap physical forward-contracts for late Q3 delivery before the structural deficit forces a rebound.

Why can they push it BELOW $55?

They can easily force a deeper plunge because they are actively weaponizing automated stop-loss triggers. Once $55 breaks, computer algorithms and forced margin liquidations automatically dump millions of ounces of paper contracts onto the market. This creates a self-feeding cascade, allowing the banks to drive a deeper panic to $52 or $50 without spending an extra dime of their own capital.

They need a cheap paper price today so they can control the physical game in September. Don't play their short-term panic game.
