The Tenaska/Capital Dynamics/Arevon/Ratts 1 Solar LLC 1200 acre solar farm got the 90% property tax abatement in 2021. Does it seem confusing to figure out who Pike County is dealing with??? What happens if Ratts goes belly up after the parent company takes the construction tax credits? Miles of black silicon glass with iron posts wedged 3+ feet deep in the ground. Does Pike County have the money to clean it up? The Ratts Decommissioning Agreement with the county says clean up costs do not get fully bonded until 10 years into the project. Why again is the County contracting with Ratts 1 Solar LLC and not the big company? Also, the way I read Decommissioning agreement, the necessity for the letter of credit is activated by the “permit” with the County; do we have permits? I don’t want to make anyone mad, but, someone should ask these questions.
