Another action packed weekend at Greenhill YMCA on our Regional Cadet Adventure Camp.

Over the past two days, our cadets have taken part in a range of adventure activities, from archery to zip-lining and wet bouldering ⛰️ 🏹 🧗

Today was a special day for me.

I graduated from @stranbelfast and @QUBelfast after 4 years of study with a Bachelors of Education. It was an amazing day and I was pleased to be able to celebrate it with my family.

Today was a first in my @sjani_youth life as I joined the DofE team for the 2nd day of a Bronze expedition. Hopefully the first of many more to come.

This evening I started something new. A Mental Health First Aid Course. Mental Health is something that impacts everyone. But so few of us have the tools to help when someone is in need. Looking forward to the follow sessions to help equip myself regardless of my role on that day

Developing future leaders. 28 Cadets from across Northern Ireland had a great weekend in the north west, learning about teamwork on their young leader’s course.

Yesterday evening saw the @sjani_youth Spring Ball @GalgormResort almost 200 of our amazing young people and youth leaders helped make it an amazing evening. Everyone had a great time and we look forward to maybe holding the event again. Thanks to the rest of the team who helped!

Just heard from a youth leader how their group reorganised an event within days so a dying parent could see their child get an award. Volunteers moving heaven and earth for the things that really matter. Heroes walk among us ❤️
