Dear Ladies, there are some men who face the world with a ln overly competitive and insecure mindset. These men will do everything possible and impossible to make sure their woman does not “overtake” them in material success and popularity.
They would rather destroy that marriage or relationship and make life miserable for her.
So in your talking stage, ladies, not everything is billing and superficial talks about Netflix and chill or whatnot. Find out what he thinks about very successful partners, particularly ladies more successful than their spouses.
Listen very carefully to what he thinks about them. If he is not totally one to help his spouse touch the skies but gives very fantastic reasons why that couldn’t be a good idea, my sister, one advice from me (which you really don’t have to take) is….
R.U.N!!
Sip your wine/drink. Eat your Thai Rice and meat and let that be that last meeting between the two of you, if you love yourself and want a happy life. Cos if you allow emotions and superficiality rule you, YOU WILL SMELL PEPPER! 🌶️
In a small village in Northern Nigeria, fourteen year old Amina was learning about the human heart when her mother walked into the room and told her she was getting married.
She stared at her biology textbook, at the diagram of a heart beating inside a human chest, and wondered if anyone had ever thought about what it meant for a little girl to have her own heart broken.
"Baba has found you a husband," her mother said. "His family will take good care of you."
"But Mama, I want to become a doctor."
Her mother sighed. "You are a girl, Amina. You cannot spend your whole life chasing dreams."
That night, Amina cried quietly into her pillow. Not because she did not want to be loved, or because she thought marriage was a bad thing, but because she was fourteen and someone else had already begun deciding what the rest of her life would look like.
She had not finished growing, yet the world was already asking her to stop.
She had not discovered all she could become, yet people were preparing to settle for all she was expected to be.
And somewhere between her father's good intentions and her community's expectations, her childhood was slipping away.
Amina's story is fictional. But for countless girls across Northern Nigeria and in most parts of the world, the fear of having their lives decided for them is painfully real.
We must ask ourselves: what does it mean to protect a girl if we take away her voice? To love her while refusing to see beyond the roles we have chosen for her?
A girl is not a childhood to be cut short, a burden to be transferred through marriage, or a vessel for other people's expectations.
She is a person, still becoming.
She deserves the right to learn, the freedom to grow, and the opportunity to choose her own path.
Ending child marriage must go hand in hand with investing in girls' education, healthcare, safety, and agency. We cannot celebrate their potential while ignoring the barriers that threaten it, or keep asking them to be resilient in circumstances we have the power to change.
Imagine what becomes possible when every girl can stay in school, speak without fear, and grow up knowing her voice matters.
This International Day of the Girl Child, let us look beyond the hashtags and celebrations. Let us protect girls' rights, challenge the practices that rob them of their childhoods, and build communities where they are safe enough to dream and supported enough to thrive.
A girl should not have to fight for opportunities that should never have been denied to her.
Happy international day of the girl child 2026. #Endchildmarriageandinvestingirlsrights

I decide to dress like an "ameria" during our cultural day celebration,
Tell me why all these mallams and abokis I usually greet every morning are hailing me,

I get goosebumps everytime I watch this clip, the way Sergio Ramos tapped Ronald's shoulder trusting him for the last penalty to win the Champions League
