Despite the astonishing technical capability we have today with phones, Zoom, livestream, etc, it remains true that ministry and Christian community require physical togetherness.
We are embodied creatures. A handshake, a hug, looking each other in the eye. Irreplaceable.
If I could hear Christ praying for me in the next room, I would not fear a million enemies. Yet distance makes no difference. He is praying for me.
— Robert Murray M’Cheyne
“And he was transfigured…and his face shone like the sun…” Mt. 17:2
“But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings.” Mal. 4:2
“The LORD make his face to shine upon you…” Num. 6:25
In Christ, the Lord is smiling at you today.
“…and he welcomed them”
Luke 9:11
Wonder of wonders, Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God welcomes weary sinners to himself. Why not go to him today? He will gladly welcome you.
Nothing in you that has not died will ever be raised from the dead.
Look for yourself, and you will find in the long run only hatred, loneliness, despair, rage, ruin, and decay.
But look for Christ and you will find Him, and with Him everything else thrown in.
C. S. Lewis
The Word of God, our Lord Jesus Christ... through His transcendent love, become what we are, that He might bring us to be even what He is Himself.
Irenaeus
I love this picture. If the gospel is true, this boy's imagination is valid. He understands the universe far better than the cynic. Our longing for nobility and adventure is not misleading us. Our lives matter. We have important battles to fight. The human struggle has glory.
@marklesher By God’s grace the church is doing well, thanks for asking!
This was from a baptism last Sunday. Thankful for your investment in my life (2 Tim 2:2).
Pastors are like farmers - they plant and pray for rain. When growth is slow, discouragement is near. But witnessing in one room the word's work in over 10k+ lives? That breeds pastoral confidence. I left @T4G confident that God’s word will do the work.

T4G has served as a foreshadow of glory for me.
Seeing friends in the faith from all over the world and then gathering to sing w/ them has warmed my heart for heaven.
There's nothing quite like 10,000 voices declaring their hope in Christ.
Come, Lord Jesus!
