@DAZN_NationalLg Looking back, it really was an excellent playoff game. Well contested, plenty of drama, two decent footballing sides going at it with a lot of chances at either end. No good for blood pressure like 🤣 felt physically sick seeing this go in
@StellingRobbie Think it’ll be very difficult to judge new faces through the door. I certainly don’t want to get carried away if a couple of reputable signings come in but I can’t lie, I am a bit excited to see what unfolds in the next few of weeks.
Much needed clear out. By comments, the majority agree. But some of these people claimed Featherstone underperformed with this group of players that clearly weren’t good enough 🤷♂️ we were never good enough for playoffs and to finish where we did was credit to NF in my opinion.
Hartlepool United can now confirm its retained list following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

@Official_HUFC We aren’t the finished article but in fairness, a few players have shown a much improved form with him steering us so can’t fault that at all. Imagine they appointed someone and we fell off a cliff. I understand the club’s decision and hope he has a successful time in charge 🐐
Felt they’d done enough to go through without the replay so fair play, Gainsborough. On the other hand, major concerns for us. We looked devoid of direction and confidence, nobody steering the ship. Seriously need to get decisions right soon or it could be free fall. Worrying.
@yorkshire_kk@Official_HUFC It’s honestly unbelievable. Like it could potentially just be 3 managers appointed every year for the next five years and that’s never healthy for a club. I’d laugh if I wasn’t completely sick of the whole thing happening again and again.
I think what stands out to me as well is the reception returning players get too. People booed Joe Grey at the York game, but can anyone blame players wanting to move on? Club needs serious change, it lacks ambition and doesn’t seem to be heading in a positive direction.
@Michaelallen_99 It’s just shit, all the time. Like I understand football is up and down but it’s just rinse and repeat, completely unacceptable performances. Then we have a couple of promising games then back to shit again.
Are we genuinely one of the most frustrating football teams in the world? Nothings ever straight forward. Just rubbish. Really starting to lose patience 😪
@Wathey@newpowerhh@YorkCityFC Noticed that you committed a lot forward when attacking, maybe more than when Hinshelwood was in charge. It had benefits as I felt when you put crosses in, the clearances normally fell to another York player. Fagan Walcott was outstanding today like, some player
Frustrating. Felt we didn’t quite have enough quality in both boxes to deserve anything. York looked very good first half and 1-0 at half time was lucky. Cracking game of football considering the horrendous conditions. Expected to lose before the game so not the end of the world.
Typical of our luck as of late. Wish him a speedy recovery, put in some tremendous performances. I’d backed us to have the most clean sheets in the league this season if he stayed fit, that’s how important he was. Hopefully goes on to have an excellent, long career 👏
Everyone at Hartlepool United would like to extend their thanks to Harvey Cartwright for his contribution this season, and wish him the best in his recovery. 💙🤍

@sam_elsegood@YorkCityFC Have a cracking weekend, fella! We’ve started okay but I’m a bit concerned for tomorrow. Losing our number 1 and lacking defensive options is really going to hurt us. I worry about how we will try and set up, would like to see us play with 2 up top and have a real go of it tbh.
@sam_elsegood@YorkCityFC They’ve always had a poor reputation unfortunately. I’ve never been subjected to it so only base that off what other people tell me. Ideally everyone conducts themselves and we see a good game of football. You making the journey through tomorrow, Sam?
@A_HonchoYT@DAZN_NationalLg@Official_HUFC Never nice to see players get injured, thought it was an excellent gesture seeing the applause he got from the stand near the dugouts as he left the pitch 🤝
@StellingRobbie Most concerning thing for me was it took us until half time to tweak the system to try and get a foothold. We were pedestrian and very fortunate to still be in the game only 1-0 down. Also think it had elements of “bad day at the office” with parkes and Cartwright both injured.
@ellishall_12 Very similar to the Gateshead first half performance. A lot of good opportunities but lacking quality final third. Should’ve been a couple of goals ahead. They opted for a typical national league bombardment second half and we found ourselves chasing the game instead.
