My favourite @Glentoran fixture of the season tonight- @OfficialBlues away.
It’s normally not a happy trip home from this ground- not the case tonight!
I did not see a 3-1 win coming! A rare win at Linfield will be a highlight of my 20th season, hopefully not the only one.
Another disappointing day for @Glentoran, this time a 0-0 draw with @Glenavon_FC. Very few goal scoring chances for either side.
Hard to see where the goals are coming from right now, they’ll need to find goals quickly otherwise it’ll be another mid-table season.
With @Glentoran playing on Friday night, I got my Saturday football @dundelaofficial. The visitors were @AnnaghUnitedFC.
A decent game and a 2-0 win for the Duns due to a deflected free kick and a header from a brilliant cross in the first half. The second half was a non-event.
Friday night football and a trip to the champions Larne.
@larnefc got a penalty with the last kick of the half. Once it went 2-0 on 50 minutes, it was game over. The last 40 minutes was a non-event.
At least with @Glentoran playing on Friday night, I can enjoy a free Saturday.
It was back to winning ways for @Glentoran tonight with a solid 2-0 win over @LoughgallFC.
Not the most convincing display but the win is all that matters.
Other results going the Glens’ way and @LFC winning in the Champions League made the night even better.
Another Saturday, another away day, this time @BallymenaUnited.
The only thing different from last week was the weather, with another 1-0 defeat for @Glentoran. No lack of effort but just couldn’t finish then got hit with a sucker punch, hopefully get back on track quickly.
Fantastic day for a game of football, sunny blue skies with hardly a cloud and very warm.
Sadly that’s as good as it got, not a happy trip home after a 1-0 loss @DgnSwifts. @Glentoran tried and tried but just couldn’t finish, hope they get back on track quickly. #NIFLPremiership
Defeat in game 1, a win in game 2 and now a draw in game 3. Neither team looked like winning it so a 0-0 draw between @Glentoran and @ColeraineFC was a fair result.
I get a break now, missing the next few games. Hope the team will have found some form by the time I’m back.
Good to be back @Portadownfc today, one of my favourite away grounds.
Nothing beats a stoppage time winner, it may have been deflected but they all count.
Happy trip home as @Glentoran get their @OfficialNIFL season up and running with their first points.
It was a shame to see the World Champion @Barry_Nasty have to surrender the title due to injury less than 24 hours after winning it in Dublin but it meant that we got a three way match for the vacant title and Belfast’s own @DamoMackle won it to the delight of the crowd. 2/2
Brilliant afternoon for a game of football and my second game of the weekend as @dundelaofficial faced @NewryCityAFC.
A decent game which ended in a 1-0 win for the Duns thanks to a great strike in the first half. A brilliant save in the second half made sure it didn’t go to 1-1.
Great to be back at the Oval for the first time since April for the start of the new season. Sadly it ended in disappointment with a 1-0 defeat to Crusaders.
Different season but the same old so far but it’s only been one game, just need to go again and put it right next week.
Really looking forward to tonight- the beginning of the new @OfficialNIFL season and my 20th season supporting @Glentoran.
After a lot of comings and goings and a good pre season, game 1 is tonight against @CrusadersFC , it’ll be a tough match but I’m optimistic of a win to start
Last #PreSeason friendly for @Glentoran today, away @distilleryworld. A very good 6-0 win for the team, I’m looking forward to the start of the @OfficialNIFL next Friday night against @CrusadersFC. Hopefully by around 10pm that night, I’m not wishing it was still the off season!
Another pre season friendly this afternoon for @Glentoran, this time away to @BallyclareFC.
A very good display in a 6-0 win for the Glens. The team is looking very sharp, hopefully they can carry that into the season. It all begins in 13 days, I can’t wait! #PreSeason
Free Tuesday night, so another pre season friendly for me, at @dundelaofficial.
The visitors were @MossleyFC, a last minute replacement for the PSNI so credit to them for stepping in on less than 12 hours notice.
An entertaining game and a 4-3 win for Mossley.
A very good 3-0 win for the Glens, the team are looking sharp, hopefully that’ll still be the case when the season starts in three weeks.

Nice evening for a game of football, this time at Dundela. I was at this ground a fair bit last season when I had a free Saturday afternoon or Tuesday night (and that’ll continue this season) though I was very much not a neutral this time around as the visitors were @Glentoran.
