I'm not a sports guy but it seems to me that this kind of genuine unbridled emotional joy, generated by actual human achievement, and not data centers, is something we really need to see these days.
This thing has some surprising heft to it! I had the original Virtual Boy back when I was stateside many years ago; even if for the sake of nostalgia, it’s dang nice to have her back in some form. :-)
#Nintendo
@Miodrag212 @MidnasLament27@SuperSisi If you’re that negative on it, and not a big Nintendo fan, why did you buy a Switch 2 so early? (A sincere question, not trying to start an online argument.)
@SuperCoolNeemz@Stealth40k 100%, not sure why people literally have to put it against BotW, which I loved, but TotK was fantastic IMHO… I personally loved that it felt like a sequel, we haven’t really got a lot of those in the traditional sense, and diving back into that specific world was fantastic.
@NatanaelPlaco@Stealth40k The fact that this and Animal Crossing were both on the GameCube, along with quite a few other gems, is simply and utterly sublime. (Those two and Eternal Darkness defined a period of time for me.)
@nin10doland Personally a massive fan of TotK, I honestly consider it so superior that I literally didn’t know there was a debate about it until recently… BotW was groundbreaking, and a good game, but for me personally TotK is the easy choice. (To each their own of course!)
It had to be done, but surprisingly quiet at the Nintendo Pop-up Store in London tonight… it was busy enough, but comfortably so without a wait to get in.
@aysuriaa@Davs_Plays Went tonight and surprisingly there was no wait, not sure how tomorrow will be though… I purposely made myself go today as I’m worried tomorrow will be a bit mad being a Saturday.
@spunti2g@Skyfops Judging by the second photo from another angle, I would actually just say that the dude has kinda weird hands? 🤷🏻♂️ (Weird being relative of course, but you can see from the other photo why it would look that way in this one.)
Quite a nice surprise from @wolfalicemusic to play out the end of Euros this evening, suited it perfectly, and many congrats to 🏴 as the back to back winners! #Lionesses#Euro2025

@SteadyTheo
@Nintendeal They were slightly different here in the UK regardless, but I did see comments about the non-stickered box becoming more of a collector’s item as the presumed rarer of the two at launch… guess it’s just the “normal” bundle box now, but it’s still the better looking of the two.
@Stealth40k I was going to hold off for a bit, but all of the opinions and reviews had me do something I have not done in ages… I walked in and bought a game at physical retail tonight, since I didn’t preorder and didn’t want to wait for delivery, next day or otherwise!
I assumed it was officially out, I knew it was soon, but on the way to the airport I stopped at a Target yesterday in Columbus, Ga., and they had #DonkeyKongBananza on sale; not sure if it would’ve been stopped at the register, but copies were out like any other physical game.
