Unfortunately, some people won't always be bold enough to tell you they no longer vibe with you. Sometimes you just have to read the room, remove yourself from the equation, and never disturb them again.
God didn’t bring you this far to embarrass you. He brought you this far to bless you. The moment you stop expecting disaster and start expecting God… everything shifts!!
Good morning 5am club. Remember to stay humble when praised and resilient when criticized. Always look for opportunities to grow and get better. As you rise, never stop being a kind and well-mannered.🌺
The background to this is that Moses had led the people for almost 40 years through the desert and strange lands; he had become old and knew he was about to leave them.
Despite the toil and pain, he still had not yet been able to take them into the promised land. He confirms here to the people that it will now be Joshua to lead them. Moses gives charge to him in this final verse of comfort and assurance that God was with him and would never leave him.
The Hebrew word for forsake means to relinquish, and God will never do that to us because we are his most prized possession!
Verse 6 is almost a repeat of this verse and adds that our strength comes from the Lord. Therefore, what do we need to be afraid of? Nothing! If God is for us, then nothing can stand against us!
There will surely be times when you feel sick, weak or afraid, be on your own and vulnerable, but remember God is always with you!
When you feel lonely and most isolated, that is the best place you need to be to come closer to God, because He allows those moments for you to be alone so you can find Him.
Think of the great prophets like St Paul in prison and leaders like Noah, Joseph, King David and even our Lord, who spent years on their own initially in their youth.
Then, intentionally, as adults, they would find solace and quiet time with God, who was preparing them for the greatest days of their lives to fulfil their ultimate purpose that God made them for.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
Amen🙏
When Jesus said, “Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart… he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:23), He wasn’t talking about metaphorical encouragement—He was giving you divine authority. Faith isn’t passive; it’s power in action. If you believe what you say in prayer, you activate the supernatural in your life. You can speak to the impossible, the immovable, the unbearable—and God will move.
God, who created stars with a word and split the Red Sea with His breath, is waiting for you to trust Him with mountain-moving faith. He shut the mouths of lions for Daniel, held back the sun for Joshua, and sent fire for Elijah. Today, He offers you the same miraculous power. Rejoice even in your darkest hour, because the God who walks through fire with you is the same God who believes in you. Nothing is impossible with Him—speak, believe, and receive!
