This is community partnership at its finest. Last night our Maverick Machine marching band collaborated with the area high school marching band for a community performance at ISG Field, home of the Mankato MoonDogs. When we work together everyone wins.

Today, as we welcomed our newest Mavericks at the New Student Rally, one of the student speakers shared some wise words. He said, "Lean into every opportunity, even the ones that scare you." Lean in, Mavericks, and have a great year.

Yesterday we officially kicked off the year with Convocation, visits with the faculty and staff from each college, and ended the day with student leaders preparing for the year ahead. A whirlwind day, but it's going to be a fantastic year. #GoMavs

Summer has flown by, and we are already preparing for the next academic year. I'm so grateful for the student panel who joined us at our retreat today to share their experiences as we move forward with a student-focused mindset.
