The public was assured last night Bato was in the “5th foor, in his room, resting”. Bato’s lawyer showed a video last night of Bato supposedly in the senate.

The senate building should’ve been secured last night - no one in, no one out.

We need answers. How did Bato escape? Who helped him?

Manila Archbishop Cardinal Jose Advincula released a pastoral statement on the issue of corruption in the country on Monday.

Advincula described the organized rallies against corruption as “manifestations of the people's collective moral conviction” and “an exercise of their rightful obligation to suppress the proliferation of evil in our midst.”

He said that the Church must provide guidance and inspiration to the people and ensure that the issue will not die down as just “another political and partisan concern.”

“One with my brother bishops in the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, I, therefore, enjoin all parishes, shrines, chaplaincies, mission stations, and religious communities to conduct prayerful reflections, circles of discernment, and concrete but peaceful and non-violent actions against corruption,” he added. KALOOKAN BISHOP WARNS AGAINST INVOKING THE HOLY SPIRIT IN VAIN

Cardinal Pablo Virgilio David, the bishop of Kalookan, issued a strong reminder Friday to those invoking the “Holy Spirit” carelessly.

In a social media post, the prelate alluded to a “scary warning” from Matthew 12:31–32 — a passage that speaks of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit as an unforgivable sin, both in this age and the next.

The cardinal did not name anyone in particular but emphasized the gravity of speaking against the Spirit, even more so than offenses against Jesus himself.
