@AnderssonKev Hahaha who could possibly have imagined that you were gonna end up building a game where the level rotates? Sorry for being cheeky, I thoroughly love what I see! <3
@AnderssonKev Portal 2 for figuring things out together, Diablo 3 for more action-packed gameplay. Heard REALLY great things about recent "It Takes Two" as well. Haven't played Stardew Valley since they added coop but I LOVED that game - probably great for relaxed play.
@MikaelForslind Not sure if that is a jab towards Valve or Apple but apparently all 32bit games stopped working on macOS with the 10.15 Catalina version. Perhaps one day Valve employees will wake up and think "This is a good day for porting - again!"
@MikaelForslind Obviously they limit your levels to respective game. But a big part of good level design is building your level to really fit in the specific game. If just blocking up a 3d space in Unity, how to evaluate the LD? That being said, blocking up in Unity/UE4 is really fun anyway :)
@MikaelForslind If you want to avoid thinking on general Game Design and really focus on LD, I'd suggest finding a game that comes with an editor. Portal 2 comes with a really neat in-game editor. Doom's Snapmap also looked cool (never tried it). Far Cry often comes with a level editor as well.
