This is the only page I've replaced on the first chapter. Page 12.
The final one is on the left.

It was actually done after finishing the whole chapter, so I was a bit more "experient" by then. Was dabbling with having Jean wear a black coat instead of the classic private eye style. Didn't end up working.

Still salty about the statue, but the rest of the shot was really weak.

Lunacy.

The idea that moon phases directly affect human behavior, especially the full moon is a an ancient conception, although in this it came though naturally due to the cosmic horror undertones in this story in particular.

American strategy seems to be premised on having AI be the iPhone of the 2020s but fail to recognize that making the “industry standard” is not as probable as Apple back then (even now, iPhone adoption rate trends down across the world). All China has consistently done so far is release, a bit later, comparable services at a much lower cost point— it’s like if America based itself on iPhone sales but 2020s Huawei existed in 08. What do they plan to do? Shake their hands at the world for “not respecting IP” & instead of paying infinity rents for “American AI” paying much less for “Knock Off China AI”? It just seems like even the technocratic deep state hasn’t taken into account that the “american brand magic” is gone forever.
