I can’t remember the last time I actually saw an American Bittern. One has taken up residence at a recently restored wetland with short vegetation and I was able to find it this morning.

I also chased a White-rumped Sandpiper today. Here it is doing some contortions while preening and showing off it’s namesake feature.
