She served as a U.S. Army intelligence officer on two Afghanistan tours, engaging Afghan women and children on special ops missions. She even helped deliver a baby in a snowstorm.

Critical to the special ops team because Afghans use women and children as human shields, she earned a bronze medal.

It has been brought to my attention that my five-year-old daughter is a conservative/sexist. Let me explain.

First, I want to address that it’s hard to believe anyone could have an adult conversation with a toddler, but that’s exactly what happened during bathtime last night.

We asked her how her day was at school and if she thought or did anything interesting and fun. She replied, “Yes,” and immediately stated, “girls go to pee sitting down, and boys go to pee standing up.”

Mom and I looked at each other, smiled and asked where she had learned that from and who told her, She stated at school with her teachers. As much as we should glorify these individuals, I will refrain from using their names, because there’s always one. IYKYK.

I told my wife, “I knew I liked her teachers.” She looked at me in agreement.

Ariah also stated, “Daddy. Mommy, me and Cosi are girls. And you, Ashy (my oldest boy’s nickname bestowed by the little ones) and Beckham are boys.”

Mental Note: A smart dad—which I was not—would have simply said she was correct, but this daddy was a dummy and proceeded to ask;

“Princess, how do you know that we are boys?”

She looked at me with in astonishment and replied, “Because we are girls, Daddy. Duh.”

And that’s when I knew she is on solid ground—YUT 🦅🌎⚓️
