My debut memoir, TRAFFIC ENGINEER (PureTome Press, 11/7), is the true story of a software engineer's fall into the criminal underworld and his ultimate redemption.
For librarians, booksellers & reviewers: it is now available for request on NetGalley.

Howard Carter found the first step down to Tutankhamun's tomb 104 years ago today. Then he covered it back up and waited almost three weeks for his funder to get there.I open Amazon boxes in the driveway.
Building short videos from old census pages. Census rows are thin strips, and my first guessed crop of a Civil War veteran's service line landed on the blank margin. Now every crop gets a tiny preview before anything renders.
My narration checker failed every date in a script. Speech-to-text writes "1912", the script says "nineteen twelve", so every year looked like a dropped word. Taught it spoken numbers. The two real slips it caught after that were fixed by slowing those lines.
@mindtensor_ Good order to learn them in. Once every eval run costs real money, you start asking whether you're measuring the right thing, and that question teaches more than any tool.
@_lru_cache Not the same thing. Most of my setup exists to say what done looks like before the agent starts. Skip that part and I'd get the vague-prompt results too.
I listen to my novel draft as an audiobook I render at home. Fixed one sentence in chapter 8, and a full re-render would have reset my place in every chapter. Now --update swaps in just that chapter and the saved positions stay put.
@manosriram On cache hits: what helped me most was putting everything that never changes at the front of every call. About 80% of input tokens came back cached.
