Why does it feel like when the republicans have the majority the democratic minority has no power and when the republicans are in the minority the democratic majority has no power?
This impeachment highlights a fundamental tenet of our legal system. All Americans, regardless of status, are entitled to a speedy trial by a jury of your cowardly partisan sycophants and henchmen.
Does anyone else think that maybe, it no longer makes sense to have impeachment trials judged by politicians worried about reelection?
Impeachment trials should be decided by a bi-partisan panel of former Senators.
@LeaderMcConnell you don’t get to vote to acquit and then give this speech to try to spare your future legacy.
I have said the phrase “fuck you” many times in my life, but I have never meant it more than I do when I say to you now: Fuck you.
“The question of whether there was a violent insurrection on our Capitol is not in dispute, on that everyone agrees.”
My dude literally YESTERDAY you argued that this wasn’t an insurrection
One point I’m surprised hasn’t been made:
The phone calls/pleas to trump* during the insurrection-by his own allies- weren’t just to send help. They were to “call it off”
If his own allies believed he could call it off, doesn’t that suggest they thought he incited it?
