The older I get, the more I understand why some people slowly let go of their dreams, lose their spark, or end up feeling lost.
It’s rarely because they’re lazy, weak, or incapable.
Life has a way of wearing people down in ways that aren't always visible. Years of disappointment, heartbreak, financial stress, responsibility, rejection, grief, and unmet expectations can quietly drain the energy that once fueled them.
Some people aren't lacking ambition.
They're carrying burdens you can't see.
That's why I've learned to be slower to judge and quicker to show compassion. You never know what battles someone has fought just to make it through another day.
Sometimes the strongest people aren't the ones chasing every dream.
They're the ones who keep going even after life has given them every reason to stop.
