@DBCooperTX I mean, abortion was pretty common in ancient Rome. They had laws about some of it. Hell, Plato wrote about it in Greece. So it is ahistorical to say no one would in “biblical times” as Romans had abortions to limit family sizes and for economic reasons.

@onlyleilalewis Smoke signals. If he is a real man, he will know how to read them.

@drtaubraun Your mom

[Max Scott @MaxScottsk]

@y0urhaunt3dgf The thing I always keep in mind is that…if I am so self-aware, I’d able to fix myself. It is clearly not true by any evidence. So the goal is to set aside the ego and realize no matter how aware of your self you are, it isn’t changing anything. And you can start there.

[Max Scott @MaxScottsk]

@andywhite_17 Or because it was made up nonsense like the impotent cucks MAGA is.

[Max Scott @MaxScottsk]

@ChipActual Well, it is even harder when we’ve had inflationary policies since the dawn of time.

[Max Scott @MaxScottsk]

@sgruber91 Neither have a right to a female’s body. Rights do not come from The Bible nor do they pertain to the unborn.

@HasnaMatBhai @grok Did you forget you had surgery to put tubes in your ears or are you just farming for comments

@ParasocialMommy I am trying to manifest but all I mustered was Cheddar Sour Cream Ruffles.

[Max Scott @MaxScottsk]

@LizzieMarbach Well, that is very wrong, but conservatives do not conserve anything anyway. What once was meant to conserve classical liberal ideas of individual rights, liberty, autonomy, and small government has been bastardized by evangelical heretics who confuse their religion with politics

[Max Scott @MaxScottsk]

@hufflepuff_owl @PastorCaleb @maklelan @ianharber No. It is mute. It actually gives instructions on how to abort under a certain circumstance. It does not admonish the practice of it. You take verses you want to apply to your beliefs and use it to justify them. As all Christians do and have done.

[Max Scott @MaxScottsk]

@jason_howerton Good thing this quote is given directly to and about Jeremiah and has nothing to do with no one else.

[Max Scott @MaxScottsk]

@PastorCaleb @maklelan @ianharber Really, the point is that The Bible is mute on abortion outside of how to end a pregnancy and the cost of losing the property (fetus). It really just suggests that early Christians, like all Christians, are negotiating with the text to make it say what they need or want.
