Kemi… it was a Tory policy from 2023 to be implemented in 2026… you either did not know and should have or are being totally disingenuous? Which is it @LBC
@Nigel_Farage No you were not
Prevent 3x stated that he was not a terror threat - under the Tories
The question you asked was - 'was he being monitored?' NOT whether he was known.
The question you need to ask is did the Tories take any further action and if not why not?
Nobody voted to set up a national enquiry. Badenoch, Farage et al voted to stop the Schools Bill in its tracks. If their ‘reasoned amendment’ had been carried there would have been no Bill and no enquiry either. I voted for the Bill - it protects children. They voted against.
“In schools where behaviour standards are high, disadvantaged children do disproportionately well.
In schools where behaviour standards are weak, disadvantaged children do disproportionately badly.”
We are aware of a number of inaccurate claims being made online in relation to last night’s episode of University Challenge and we utterly condemn the abuse that has been posted and shared.
For the avoidance of doubt, this episode was filmed in March. The mascot is one of many chosen by the team during the course of the series and is one of their favourite animals.
The jacket worn by one of the contestants was navy blue, orange, pink and green, bought from a High Street retailer. It has no connection to any flag.

Here's another for you @SuellaBraverman. 18 year old boy from Enfield. His Mum dies and he has no family. He ends up homeless living in a shed. He gets my contact details and I help him. I put him in the Travelodge on the A10 for 2 weeks until I can find him a room in a housing association. I knew the staff so this was possible. He was scared, cold, wet, and starving when I picked him up. He cried for hours. Anyhow we looked after him and now he's doing a degree in engineering. It was not a lifestyle choice for him. And I'm sure he'd be more than happy to educate you on this.
@TTRadioOfficial Whatever happened to the “24 tasks”that were removed from teachers, and have crept back in and the underlying principle that teachers should only do things that could only be done by a teacher, with everything else being done by support staff?
The best head I worked for never achieved an ‘outstanding’ inspection outcome, in fact flirted with requires improvement. Never got those amazing ‘headline results’ in the papers. But no one remembers or cares for that now, years later. What I care about is how he made me feel as a staff member, put great faith in me, built me, protected me. Same for other staff. Cared deeply about children in school, genuine, not sound bites. These things are memorable because authentic, real memories were made. These things matter. If only we could focus more on this, our whole countries education system would be in a better place.
You can't just "make Brexit work", @Keir_Starmer, when it’s clearly doing such damage
Pretending #Brexit can be positive is dishonest, plays into hands of Govt & undermines national interest
Instead, admit this is about damage limitation - don’t falsely claim to “make it work”
“Aside from the bizarre decision to send a letter to schools on a bank holiday Monday, this announcement smacks of political grandstanding to distract from the mess the Government has made of its National Tutoring Programme”: my comments @ASCL_UK: https://t.co/8e4zP7pIIP
This is devastating and unnecessary.
Why should you be kept out of a music, or art, or dance, or drama degree for getting a grade 3 in maths? Why should you be stopped from gaining a maths degree for getting a 3 in English?
And why let rich kids avoid these rule?!
OFSTED INSPECTION #tips 1. Be ready for that phone call, it really is important that what you say on it is accurate. Most of the time was spent checking out what we said. Day 1 - between 4 and 6 deep dives (we did 5 in a 2 form primary). Fully lead by the subject leaders……
