Just came back from my first @SJDMOfficial conference with a 3rd place in the Student Poster Award ๐
Check out my poster on misperceptions of ideological complexity and partisan animosity here: https://t.co/Zvvwk909BO
Thanks @JuliaMinson@CharlieDorison
@HMRCcustomers Is it also possible for them to cash a check that is in my name - a friend did receive my check (they now live at my former address), I am just not sure if they can cash it.
And with this group photo we conclude three days of intense but fun training at the #ISPPAcademy๐
Big thanks to our instructors and Minnie Chappell & Sev Bennett at @PolPsyISPP Central Office and @MarketaOdlova for their hard work that made this a great experience! #ISPP2023
*Introducing Reputational Rationality Theory*
Are cognitive biases always irrational?
Excited to share a preprint proposing a theory for when and why observers reward error-prone decision makers. Sometimes, biases can be reputationally rational.

Just got back from this wonderful workshop on subjective beliefs at @CEBI_UCPH with lots of new (and newly prioritized) research ideas.
Thanks to @FelixChopra, @cp_roth, @Ingar30, @SettSonja, and @JoWohlfart for sharing all your insights!
We are incredibly excited to kick off a three-day Ph.D. course on Subjective Beliefs, Attention, and Economic Behavior @CEBI_UCPH in Copenhagen. We have an amazing group of Ph.D. students from all over the world attending the course! @cp_roth @Ingar30@SettSonja@JoWohlfart
Excited to share that I am starting my PhD in Public Policy @Kennedy_School this week.
Can't wait to see what the next five years will bring - I hope I can share some first research ideas soon ๐พ
I'd also like to thank @eugen_dimant who always challenged my methodological priors and who shaped my academic interests significantly. And finally @j1berger @CaitLamberton for a first idea of what life and research as a PhD student could look like.
@PennMBDS provided me with endless opportunities - a research project with @CBicchieri and @EnriqueFatas culminated in a publication, and I got to work with @dhopkins1776 and Nicholas Sambanis among other amazing faculty.
I am grateful for all the academic support I received throughout the years, starting off at @uclspp@lucycbarnes@HicksTM - so many of my research ideas originated early during my undergrad and I find myself going back again and again to what I learned back then
1/ The *last* thing we need right now is more untested speculation about how to fix social media. We have *research* that can help us evaluate @elonmuskโs proposals to transform Twitter, and many of these studies might inspire him to throw some cold water on his plans ๐งต
New FCA research note on decision points in high-risk investment consumer journeys out ๐
Many great learnings, e.g. how effective simple FAQ-style information can be and how incredibly difficult it is to test friction in online experiments.
Thoughts?
