Aseman Bali Dog Association was struggling this month to get food for their dogs so Ada helped them out 🐾

Aseman is the biggest dog shelter on Bali and they seriously do not turn dogs away at all like most shelters do

They have a lot of land and they plan to just continue growing and helping as many dogs as possible

This is the second time now that Ada has bought food for them but I’m sure we’ll be doing more to help them out in the future

They have a big family, and it’s only family members that have ever helped at the shelter, and I was able to spend a lot of quality time with them when I was there volunteering for Ada

One day they picked me up saying we were going to feed street dogs & they ended up driving me 4 hours to the other side of the island to see monkeys 😹

I spent almost every day with them for
3 weeks and by the end of it they told me I could move into one of the houses on their land and just be part of the family helping with the dogs for as long as I wanted

This journey with Ada really has led me to some very real connections and allowed me to experience these countries in a way most people don’t get to

You don’t have to travel to the other side of the world though. If you love dogs there’s a good chance you can find people you have a lot in common with at your local shelter or by helping a local rescue group

You’ll most likely enjoy it way more than expected too 🦮

Glad I have this jumpsuit while volunteering at Colitas bc I barely have any clothes with me anymore

My luggage with 90% of my clothes, 2 cameras, and my tripod got lost in London on my way to Peru

It’s not looking like I’m going to get it back either
