@icyC0rey_ @jeaneliep @rahsh33m Often, these homes are designed by builders, and not architects at all. Besides, architects provide a basic service, to fulfill the needs of the client. An architect might make design decisions for these homes, but they’re not the ones incentivizing them.

@icyC0rey_ @rahsh33m No, architects are not “basically developers”. Not even close. Besides, these projects are usually design-build, and architects are often not even involved at all.

@icyC0rey_ @rahsh33m Bruh architects just get commissioned by developers to do a set of drawings and are usually paid a fixed rate per unit. Usually those drawings are used to create identical versions of the same house by those developers. Architects aren’t the ones planning these neighborhoods.
