As I promised yesterday, here are the results.
Last December, despite major obstacles and limited funds, we submitted 8 Miraa (Muguka) samples to an independent laboratory for testing of two widely used herbicides:
- Glyphosate
- Paraquat
Total cost: Over KSh 60,000
Samples were collected from Meru (majority) and Mombasa (2 samples).
All tested samples contained detectable residues.

To everyone who quietly supported this work through M-Pesa, you made this possible.
This is public-interest science.
Effects of water pollution at lake victoria from industries like Kibos sugar company. Where is Sen. Ojienda, Governor Anyang Nyong'o, Kisumu woman rep, and the elected leaders? @okeweg@Thriving_luos
Okachaka cham rech until further notice awuoro!
26-year-old Simon Warui disappeared from Umoja on Sunday, September 21. By Thursday, he was dead inside Central Police Station, Mombasa. The police spin? That he ‘fell from a wall in the cells.’
Simon leaves behind a young wife and a 3-year-old child. A family shattered, a child robbed of a father, a wife turned into a widow all because the State has normalized killing in custody.
This is systemic murder. UDA has turned police stations into slaughterhouses, and every Kenyan should be outraged.
A government that kills its young men and then lies about it cannot claim to serve the people. It rules by fear, not by law. Simon’s blood, like Baby Pendo’s , Albert Ojwang’s and others will forever stain
@AokoOtieno_ I am Kikuyu and I detest Gachagua for his tribal bigotry! He is part of the problem bedevilling Kenya. I never voted for him, never will, I resonate myself with Babu. His ideology is what Kenya needs..
