#NEW: The State Fire Marshall’s Office says a fire at a home on Atlantic Ave along Wells Beach Sunday night was accidental. “The homeowner had just changed a propane tank and was preparing to grill when a fire erupted near the grill area, causing a small explosion.”
The homeowner suffered minor burns and was treated at the scene. The homeowner's daughter was also inside the home but made it out okay. @WGME

#WATCH as flames tore through a home on Atlantic Ave along Wells beach this afternoon. The fire burnt the walls of both the neighboring homes. Hearing from residents that no one was hurt and it was a possible grill fire. Firefighters have been here for roughly 4 hours still spraying water on the home over concerns the propane tanks inside could explode.

The fire was contained pretty quickly. It melted the side of the house next to it on the left. The home being built to the right also had part of their wall burnt.
#UPDATE: Firefighters still spraying water on the home on Atlantic Ave. in Wells. Just spoke with a Wells firefighter who told me propane tanks in the basement of the home started to leak so they need to make sure those don’t explode. At least 50 cars are stuck trying to get out.

#BREAKING: State fire marshals say one firefighter is dead and 10 others are injured after an explosion followed by a massive fire broke out at Robbins Lumber Mill in Searsmont. Officials say the firefighter was found dead on the scene. An investigation is underway.

#UPDATE: The owners of the “Colisee” in Lewiston say they are not closing. It comes after “Hamid Circus” said they had to cancel their event in May, claiming the venue “is closing its doors immediately.” However, the owners say low ticket sales led to the cancellation. @WGME
#Maine is getting one step closer to allowing Mainers to install plug-in solar panels on their home or apartment. The bill supporting this idea has passed the Maine legislature and is now on Gov. Mills desk to be signed into law. If approved, would you buy one? @WGME
We will keep tabs on this case but in the meantime Doucette will remain held without bail. He could request a Harnish Bail Hearing - where a judge determines if the prosecutors have enough evidence to keep him held without bail.
#NOW: We are in the Franklin County Courthouse, where Austin Doucette, the man accused of shooting his girlfriend in Carabassett Valley, is set to be arraigned. Doucette is joined on Zoom with his head down.
- Before police arrested Doucette, he called his father saying “he was being chased by the cops” and he “was going to kill himself”.
- Police later conducted a search warrant of their condo in Carrabasset Valley and found evidence of a shooting, including an automatic handgun.
