Website is "down" for maintenance/long-term revisioning.
Just need time to sit with it and reframe if I have the energy to do it myself, or whether I'll get help :)
PC Party leader Doug Ford says as long as he's Premier "no one is ever going to use their credit card, they'll always use their OHIP card."
That's not true.
Just this week Health Minister Sylvia Jones was reluctant to shut down private for-profit nurse practitioner clinics.

Not so fun facts:
- this is less money than the Conservatives will be spending to subsidize a private spa in downtown Toronto
- they're promising 2 million patients covered but the shortfall is projected to be 4.4 million by the end of this year due to doctor attrition
This is absolutely embarrassing stuff for a ministry account to send out. It’s one thing for politicians to make politically motivated decisions, but for a Ministry, staffed by ostensibly independent professionals to reinforce what is, on its face false, is very problematic.
Hi @ottawacity. Tried calling this in but the 311 recording is looping.
Roundabout crosswalk pedestrian lights at Jeanne d'Arc/St. Joseph appear to be frozen or broken. The beg button lights up for a moment, but the signage lights do not. Dangerous at this hour, cars won't stop
NEW: Ontario's Auditor General find the province's MZO process lacked structure and an ability to measure if it was working. The AG found examples that “give the appearance of preferential treatment.”

Glad LRT service resumed early. NOT HAPPY I walked to an R1 stop (King Ed/Somerset) prior to 1pm & not made aware it was running. Sign was folded up & removed, no red vests. It wasn't until I saw the train leave. We need better communication from @OC_Transpo if closures end early
✅Regular O-Train Line 1 service has resumed! The Stage 2 software integration testing is now complete, and trains are running from Tunney's Pasture to Blair stations. We thank you for your patience.
As I push my son in his stroller, getting on and off public transit, I’m reminded of how inequitable the world is for persons with disabilities. We should care about making the world safer for everyone. You don’t have to experience these challenges for them to matter to you.
Hey @cdnwomenfdn! Love your newsletters/email content but I just received 6 consecutive emails in the span of 4 mins... hope you're aware of this issue, if not - letting you know!
NEW: The closure of the Ontario Science Centre was abrupt.
But did it need to be?
Internal documents reveal the gov’t was crafting and polishing a detailed public communications strategy a week-and-a-half before the urgent closure on June 21.

Hey @OC_TranspoHelps I couldn't find an alert, it appears the elevator at Blair (on the G-K stop side) isn't working. Stuck on 3rd fl & not moving, call buttons activated on all three floors.
Just thinking about how the ultra-short attention spans people have now, thanks to social media, are antithetical to meaningful, long-term organization.
People asking how to keep their jeans from wearing through on their inner thighs comes up pretty often and the reason this happens is because of 1) friction and 2) Lycra (also 2a: poor laundry practices).
If you loaded up your vehicle and left your home to illegally dump garbage on the street, YOU ARE TRASH.
Imagine having the privilege of a home, clean water, (possibly) a vehicle, and you're petty enough to destroy the land over a garbage limit? #Ottawa

I give @OC_Transpo credit when it is deserved, I swear I don't always complain.
Texted 560-560. Got this back. Am I annoyed at the reliability of the 46? Yes. But can I hide in a warm store for a few mins to escape the cold? Also yes.
Please implement this on station LEDs!!
I still cannot wrap my head around how a fake nurse can manage to secure employment and work in Ontario’s health system, yet highly qualified internationally educated nurses have to work as cleaners, PSWs or in factories due to unnecessary red tapes.
Where are the “standards”?
